円高

最近は円高のようで助かっております。

私たちがこの国に来た頃は、RM1=33円くらいだったけど、最近はRM1=26円くらい。

たくさんお金をATMからお金をおろすと、1万円くらいの差が出る。

ありがとうございます。
このまま円高が続いてほしいでござりますぅ・・・

Bro. Fantastic One

There is an elderly man in our congregation,
and his name is Mr. Wan.

He is over 60 years of age, but he is very powerful!
That's why some of our friends started calling him
Fantastic One!

His nickname is taken from the movie "Fantastic Four."

Yes, he is fantastic!!
And he also likes to be called that way.

When we are in service, here comes Fantastic One!!

テーブルを指でトントン

地元のWanさんと奉仕の後で，中国系のレストランでお昼を一緒に食べた。

その時に、なぜウエイターやウエイトレスにいろいろしてもらった後、テーブルをたたくのか教えてくれた。

彼が言うには、「清朝の皇帝がお忍びで中国各地を旅していた。ある時、お付きの者たちと共に茶楼に入った皇帝は、身分を隠し通すため、お付きの者たちの茶碗にお茶を注いだ。お付きの者たちは、ビックリしてすぐにでも跪き頭を地面につけて感謝の気持ちを表したい気持ちだったが、皇帝の身分が世間にばれるのを恐れた。そこで、急いで手の指を曲げて机をたたいたそうだ。」

なるほど・・・
確かに指を曲げているところは、地面に土下座して頭を地面につけているように見える。

今度から中国系のレストランでは、テーブルをトントン叩いてみようと思う。

Jasmine drove!!

Most of people in this country drives like crazy.
So, Jasmine doesn't usually drive here.

One day, some of our friends came over to our house.
I asked Jasmine to take them to the security house, so that
they wouldn't have to walk all the way to their car.

I thought Jasmine would take them, just to the
security house, but she decided to take one of our friends
because she lived a little bit far away.

If she doesn't go to the highway, she is OK.
So, she took one of them home.

She came back with safe. No problem at all.

She doesn't drive like other women drivers
shown in youtube.

ボーリング

先日友人たちとボーリングをしてきた。

中には40代くらに男性がいて、ボーリングは初めてだと言っていた。

確かに田舎の方に住んでいたらボーリングなんてする機会はなかったのだろう。
しかも彼の子供たちはみんな女の子だし。

それにしても・・・

ボーリングをするのが初めてで、100以上のスコアが出るなんて・・・

ボールをコントロールする感覚が優れているに違いない！

いや〜〜、楽しい時間でした。
